EdDventures of a Scholar-Practitioner
In the fall of 2023, a leap was taken, an application was submitted, and hope was launched. On February 13th a letter of acceptance was received and my doctorate journey began. This website/blog/repository of artifacts documents my reflective and reflexive journey. It is a personal story that documents becoming a scholar-practitioner. There are moments of self-critique, moments of frustration, and moments of clarity and joy as I learn to decolonize my mind, look deeply at my transformative leadership practices, and become a scholar-practitioner. The hope is to have a record of my journey and celebrate and interrogate the work and research along the way. The photo to the right is day 1 at the University of British Columbia Okanagan. The journal was a gift – I will not write in it until I become a doctor. My first reflection in this journal will be after I cross the stage. The journey is going to be challenge, hard, and so wonderful. (Please know this site may shift and change as I begin to look at new ways to document. Please also note, I still need to seek permission to use the photos of people in our cohort. This is not public because of this.)
